FFT-Analytics-Architect - Measurement Strategy
Overview
Section titled “Overview”FFT-Analytics-Architect is the strategy head of FlowForge’s Data & Analytics crew. It decides how
truth is measured — every number’s population, join, window and denominator named rather than
implied — and hands fft-data-analyst a written measurement brief to execute against real data
and fft-dataviz-designer the indicators to present. It operates at the method layer and never
computes a production number itself; the leaves do, and report evidence back so the method
iterates on findings instead of opinion.
Capabilities
Section titled “Capabilities”- Metric and indicator design: the population a number is drawn from, the join that assembles it, the window it covers, and the denominator it divides by — each stated, never inferred
- Study design: baselines before a change, control arms, manipulation checks that prove the dial actually moved, and the sample size the claim can carry
- Threshold derivation: deriving a gate’s threshold from the population that gate actually fires on, so a rule is never unsatisfiable for the rows it governs
- Method selection: trend vs cohort vs survival vs distribution — and when a count is the honest answer and a rate is not
- Back-test discipline: projecting a proposed rule over real historical rows before it ships, and naming what it would have done
- Evidence standards: pull timestamps, named sources, unknown reported as unknown, and a re-derivation path a stranger can follow
When to Use
Section titled “When to Use”- Routing rule: measurement strategy, metric definition, study design, or threshold questions → dispatch
fft-analytics-architectFIRST; it authors the measurement brieffft-data-analystexecutes andfft-dataviz-designerpresents - Before any number that will inform a decision is computed
- Auditing a metric that two surfaces report differently, or a threshold nobody can justify
- Designing the measurement plan for a change you intend to claim worked
Do NOT dispatch to pull this month’s numbers or to choose a chart — those are fft-data-analyst and fft-dataviz-designer, working from this agent’s brief. Data modelling remains fft-database-architect and live query work fft-dba; model selection remains fft-ml-architect.
Example Prompts
Section titled “Example Prompts”"Merge throughput looks like it collapsed. Design the measurement before we compute anything: which population, which event defines a merge, which window, what the baseline is, and what would falsify the claim — as a brief fft-data-analyst can execute.""We want a gate that flags a stale ticket. Derive the threshold from the tickets the gate would actually fire on, and back-test it over the last quarter so we know what it would have done."
